Interview with David Fiorina, Prysm Software new Business Development Director

Briefly, what is your career path?

David Fiorina: After spending my early career in the nuclear power and automotive industries, I spent almost 18 years at Assystem, one of the European engineering service leaders. Within this group, I held various business development positions and managed profit centers of increasing size.  My last professional experience was Vice-President with special responsibility for the  Defence and Space sectors development at the global level.

Assystem is a very big business group which employs more than 10,000 people. Why go from a large company to an SME like Prysm software? What is the challenge?

DF: Get involved in a new adventure, recapture the freshness I once experienced in a mechanical consulting start-up or for the launching of agencies at Assystem. In a human-size company, the strength remains in the continuous interaction with all the team members. Everybody works together for the common interest and brings support to those who need it. The challenge is: to develop, to structure the company so it keeps on growing internationally.

What are Prysm Software's international ambitions in the coming months, years?

DF: Prysm Software is a company with solid foundations in France and in francophone European countries that can be relied upon. The prime objective is to speed up the international development in order to balance our turnover between France/Benelux and the rest of the world.

We will strengthen our presence in countries where we are already established by further developing our relationships with our local partners and even developing new ones.

We are also going to explore new markets, open other areas by relying on our current partners.
